Emma LaChance records hat trick in Cougars' 8-0 win

The University of Minnesota, Morris  scored three times in the first 11 minutes Saturday and went on to shut out the North Central Rams  8-0.

With the win the Cougars improved to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.

Emma LaChance had a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the first 16 minutes of action.

In the third minute of play LaChance scored on an assist from Rachael Berns.

In the ninth minute LaChance struck again on a pass from Rachael Berns.

Kebra Rogers scored her fourth goal of the season making it 3-0 in the 11th minute as Berns picked up her third assist of the match.

The hat trick came in the 16th minute when Ally Heida assisted LaChance.

Madeline Youakim scored her second career goal in the 31st minute, unassisted.

After 40 scoreless minutes Carly Denler scored unassisted to make it 6-0.

Youakim scored her second goal of the match in the 76th minute, assisted by Brooks.

Ivie Brooks scored her first career goal in the 79th minute as Youakim earned the assist.

Minnesota Morris outshot the Rams 23-0. Torri Jordan earned the shutout in net.

The Cougars will now take on Crown on Thursday afternoon.
