Cougar women even up record with shut-out win

The University of Minnesota, Morris women’s soccer team evened up their season record with a 3-0 shutout over Martin Luther on Friday evening.

Three first-half goals were the difference in the match as three different Morris players got on the board with a goal.

Carly Denler continued her great freshman campaign with a goal in the 17th minute of play.

Rachael Berns made it 2-0 in the 25th minute and then Emma LaChance scored to make it 3-0 in the 35th minute. Ally Heida had the assist on the LaChance goal.

Morgan Delaney made six saves to earn her first clean sheet in a Cougar kit.
