Sharon Kay Hawkinson

Sharon Kay Hawkinson was born December 27, 1938 at the Morris Hospital to Arthur J. and Verna (Benson) Hawkinson. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church. She attended school in Morris, graduating in 1956.

She married Douglas Soderholm of Hoffman on July 28, 1956. To this union, four children were born: Tamera, Timothy, Jeffrey and Jay. She was employed as a secretary to superintendents in both Morris and Glenwood high schools. She was married to Lloyd Chamberlin on December 22, 1987 in Kent, WA. They lived in Sumner, WA until Lloyd's death in 2001; she then moved back to Marshall, MN to be near her family.

Sharon passed away on December 31, 2017 at the Hospice House in Pipestone, MN at the age of 79.

She is survived by three children: Tammy (Tom) Ogdahl of Pipestone, Tim (Laurie) Soderholm of Enumclaw, WA, and Jeff (Dianna) Soderholm of Glenwood; seven grandsons: Adam (Kris), Andy (Ashley), and Aaron Ogdahl; Gavin, Mike (Sarah), Tyler (Nicole), and Nate Soderholm; two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Aubree Soderholm; three stepsons: Mitch (Lynda), Curt (Janie), and Dave (Lori) Chamberlin; one brother, Dick, and one sister, Cheryl (Keith) Hawkinson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Lloyd Chamberlin and Doug Soderholm, her son Jay, and her brother Ron.

A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Morris on Saturday, January 13, at 2:00pm, with visitation one hour prior.
