Letter: Fairboard thanks community for support

Another fair has come and gone. The Stevens County Fairboard hopes you were able to get out to the fairgrounds to see all the exhibits, animals, entertainment, eat some fair food, and enjoy a ride or two on the carnival rides. We hope we gave you lots of good fair memories. Thank you to the commercial and food vendors who came and set up; to Family Fun Show for their excellent carnival. Thank you to the Stevens County Homemakers, the Stevens County 4-H groups, and the Open Class entrants that gave us all the wonderful exhibits and animals to see. We hope you enjoyed the heritage demonstrations, along with some of the magic and musical entertainment that was funded through the Legacy Grant.

To all the businesses who sponsored an event or gave a donation to the Stevens County Fair; we appreciate your gift. Without your donations we couldn't bring in the wide variety of entertainment that we do. We must not forget the Stevens County Board of Commissioners for their support and last and far from least, the Stevens County Fairboard members, their families, and volunteers. You all know who you are and we could never list them all — so a big thanks to all of you! Their many hours of behind the scenes work helped to make the fair events run very smoothly each and every day.

It takes everyone coming together to make this great event happen. Maybe you are interested in being a fairboard member; feel free to speak with one of the fairboard members about how to become a member.

Thank you again for making this a great fair. Mark your calendars for Aug. 6 — 10, 2014 when we will gather again to celebrate another Stevens County Fair.
