Parent Night is Sept. 20 at Morris Area
Parent Night at Morris Area school is Monday, Sept. 20 and features college readiness expert Kent Pekel.
All parents and the public are invited for Pekel's address at 7:15 p.m., following the elementary and high school Parent Nights.
Elementary Parent Night is at 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. High School Parent Night is 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pekel will speak during an informational session at the Morris Area High School Auditorium at 7:15 p.m.
Pekel is an educator who has worked at the school, district, federal, and university levels. He is currently the Executive Director of the University of Minnesota's College Readiness Consortium, an organization working to provide every Minnesota student with the knowledge, skills, and habits for success in higher education and the global economy.
Pekel's interactive presentation is titled, "All Students College Ready: Can it Be Done? Should it Be Done?"
Pekel will be speaking to MAHS student in grades 9-12 during the day on Sept. 20.
