MAHS Spring choir concert

The Morris Area High School presented its annual Spring concert... The final choir concert for the singers from the Class of 2014 who will be graduating next Friday, May 30.

Each group, directed by John Kleinwolterink, had a variety of fun songs to sing.

The MAHS Express choir sang "Treasure" a song recorded by the pop singer Bruno Mars. John Huebner nailed the beginning solo. They also sang a popular tune from the movie Frozen called "Love is an Open Door" which made the audience laugh (see video).

The Concert choir sang the American folk song "The Water is Wide" and ended with "Accidentally in Love" a song from the motion picture Shrek 2 (See video).

The A Cappella choir opened up their portion of the concert with a traditional sea chantey "The Drunken Sailor", then soloists Andrew Goulet and Trent Wulf sang "Baba Yetu". Max Jerke and John Huebner were featured in the beginning of "Down to the River to Pray" - a traditional spiritual number. Lastly, the A Cappella group combined with the concert choir to perform "May the Music Live On!" as a tribute to the senior class, hoping the music will always live on in their lives (See video).
