'Sampling Western Minnesota' on the next Postcards

PioneerPublic Television is proud to premiere the next episode of Postcards on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with “Sampling of Western Minnesota.”

In this episode, we will learn about the history of the Benson Bakery, a family-owned and operated business for over 80 years. Then see how Minnesota is honoring the memory of three conservation officers killed in the line of duty more than 70 years ago with the DNR Memorial in New Ulm. Discover how a small town farm boy, Glen Johnson, started the Lake Lillian Crier and went on to work for the U.S. Treasury.

This new episode of Postcards airs on Sunday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. with rebroadcasts on Monday at 1:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. on Pioneer.

The twenty local productions of Postcards at Pioneer Public Television capture the stories about Minnesota art, history and cultural heritage, with funding provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
