Deadline for all Community Calendar items is 11 a.m. on Thursday. Meeting and open house announcements will be printed twice at no charge

SATURDAY, JUNE 9

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB with Chrissy Koyala on Saturdays through June 23 at the Morris Public Library. Kids club is from 2 to 3 p.m. and Teen club is from 3 to 4 p.m. Sign up at the library.

DAN and WENDY LUTHI BENEFIT will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church from 4 to 7 p.m. A silent auction and free-will offering meal will help with costs as Wendy donates a kidney to her father-in-law.

SUNDAY, JUNE 10

GATHERINGS FOR WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS will meet for lunch at noon in the basement of the Old No. 1 in Morris. Order lunch off the menu and enjoy an opportunity to visit with old friends and meet new ones who are also experiencing life as a widow/widower. MONDAY, JUNE 11

PAJAMA STORYTIME at 7 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Come in your pjs and bring your stuffed animal. You'll go home, but your stuffed animal will sleep over at the library.

TUESDAY, JUNE 12

SURPLUS FOOD DISTRIBUTION will be held from 5:30 until gone at the Morris Area Elementary School Cafeteria. To fill out a brief survey about your household call 1-800-492-4805.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

FAMILY FUN EVENT "BOARD GAME NIGHT" starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Morris Public Library.

THURSDAY, JUNE 14

GROW KIDS & KINSHIP GARDEN GALA, a RUSC Kinship Mentoring's Fundraising Event & Community Patio Dedication, will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Pomme de Terre Park in Morris. This event includes a silent auction, children's activities, and gardening demonstrations. The patio dedication is at 6 p.m.

COLORING NIGHT starts at 6 p.m. at the Morris Public Library.

FRIDAY, JUNE 15

FRIDAY FLICKS at the Morris Public Library showing at 2 p.m. These movies are geared for elementary age students and younger with parent chaperones. Popcorn and drinks provided by the Morris Friends of the Public Library. Call the library for movie titles.

SATURDAY, JUNE 16

MINNEWASKA SINGLES will have dinner in Padua. Meet at 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Shopko in Glenwood to car pool. For more information call 320-283-5612.

THE SONS OF NORWAY NORSKFODT LODGE 1-590 will meet at 6 p.m. at the home of Vicky Dosdall. Please bring a dish to pass for this potluck picnic. All other items provided.

COME GROW WITH US will be held from 5:15 to 6 p.m. at the Horticulture Display Garden. Growing Strawberries & Raspberries will be presented by Dr. Jim Luby, U of MN professor.

FRIDAY, JUNE 22

'FARMERS SHARE" BREAKFAST ON THE FARM served from 7 to 9 a.m. at the WCROC Farm. Cost is $0.40 (the amount of money the farmer earns from the products served).

SUNDAY, JUNE 24

SPERR FAMILY REUNION will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Herman Community Center. Bring a dish to share. Beverages and supplies will be provided. Bring an item for the auction/raffle. For more information call Lois at 763-221-6121.
