Students at CMST frequently ask, "What are we doing in Science today?"  That's because it is the favorite subject for many since it is a hands-on, exciting learning experience.

This month, third and fourth grade students are investigating magnetism and electricity.   We have already learned about the force of magnetism and which objects are conductors or insulators.

This week we are learning how to make lights and motors run, using D-cell batteries.  After we understand how to construct open, closed, parallel and series circuits, we get to make an electromagnet and a telegraph.

Come join us as CMST continues to celebrate science learning at Science Sensation on Thursday March 24.  The Minnesota Science Museum will be presenting "Motion Mayhem" at 6:30 p.m.  After the presentation, your children can experiment in science stations to learn about sinking and floating, electricity, bubbles, and much more.  Both events are free and open to the public.  Bring your kids!
