CMST held its annual Read-a-thon on Monday February 14. Students collected $570 from family and friends. This money will be used to enhance the Accelerated Reader program at the school. The excitement was high as the students arrived at school in the morning. Students brought pillows and blankets so they could curl up in their classrooms and read their favorite books.

Professor Ray Schultz and students from his Creative Dramatics Class at the University of Minnesota, Morris were our special guests for part of the morning. The students had prepared dramatic renditions of favorite children's books, complete with unique costumes and props and plenty of dramatic flair to entertain our students. Our students were very excited and loved the audience participation.

The students brought in a variety of favorite snacks to share while they read their books. It was a fun morning for everyone. In the afternoon each classroom celebrated Valentine's day.
