"Summer Fun in the Garden" series continues tonight

Summer Fun in the Garden, a series of Wednesday family garden programs, continues today -- Wednesday, July 14 -- at 6 p.m.

Summer Fun is the West Central Research and Outreach Center's newest family education event at the Horticultural Display Gardens.

Following a supper, at 7 p.m. Stevens County Master Gardener Pat Mummwill be in the garden to present "Container Gardening." At the same time, Chlene Anderson leads a a children's program in the Children's Garden.

On Wednesday, Aug. 11, Chippewa County Master Gardener Jerry Tilden will present "Plant Propagation and Storing Annual and Perennial Plants in Pots for Winter."

Each evening will feature a children's program and a grilled supper.

The WCROC Horticultural Display Gardens are located on Highway 329, one mile east of the city of Morris near the wind turbine. For directions, or to learn more about the WCROC Horticultural Display Gardens, go to
