Kiwanis Talent show returns for the third installment at East Side Park Thursday

Two area bands placed at the second Morris Kiwanis Talent Show Thursday, June 10. First place went to the band consisting of Jordan Nieland, Jerry Sauder, and John Franey. Sophia DeToy's dance earned her a second-place finish. Spiny Norman and the Paranha Brothers, Mickey Cotter, Matt Cotter, Thomas McPhee, and Alex McIntosh, placed third. The talent show is held every Thursday in June at East Side Park. Finalists from each of four nights of competition win cash prizes are invited to participate in the Talent Show finals during Prairie Pioneer Days. The top performers for that competition are eligible to perform at the Stevens County Fair and to move on to the State Fair Talent competition. The Kiwanis also serve a meal beginning at 5:30 p.m.
