Jason Davidson seriously injured in motorcycle accident
Jason Davidson, of Glenwood, was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a lawn tractor that rolled off a trailer. The crash happened Monday shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Highway 27, about seven miles east of Hoffman, according to the State Patrol. Jason was returning home from work at the time of the crash.
Davidson, 31, was taken from the crash scene to Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was in critical condition Monday night.
According to a family member he sustained several broken bones in his legs, shoulder and right elbow. He underwent surgery Monday night on his legs and may require further surgeries.
Reid A. Haberer, of Cyrus, was heading west on Highway 27, hauling a lawn tractor on a trailer that he was pulling with his pickup. The tailgate came down, allowing the tractor to roll into the road. Davidson, heading east on his motorcycle, struck the tractor. He and his bike went on to the ditch to the right of the road.
Jason is the son of Nola Petsche of Hancock and graduated with the Hancock class of 1997.
