If you have news to include in this column, please remember my deadlines are Tuesday evening for my drop boxes and Wednesday evening for e-mail, phone calls and snail mail.
The past week has been cloudy, cool, and damp with rain and fog most of the time. Mild temperatures have meant that the snow is rapidly disappearing and there is even some green grass showing up. Wednesday was the nicest day we have had in a long time.

Last week I mentioned that Donna Wolking Agosti had passed away. I have been told that her wedding was one of the most memorable events to occur in Donnelly. Her husband's family came to Donnelly in a private rail car which they had parked on a side rail and stayed in until after the wedding. That was quite an event for our small town!
Barry and Nancy Erdahl were among the members of the Morris Lions Club who helped serve the pancake breakfast on March 13 at the KMRS/KKOK spring expo in Morris. A good crowd was on hand for both days of the event.
Julie Busse, Lyle, Verle and Della Dunn recently returned home from a trip to California to visit Verle's brother-in-law, Marlyn Hagen and his family.
Jim and Lou Eystad and I attended the Thrivent Cares program at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris on March 15.
Dan Frank of Northfield spent some of this past week visiting his mother Shirley Frank and other family and friends in the area.
St John's WELCA hosted the St. Patrick's Day party at the West Wind Village on March 17. Thanks to Lynn Shultz for playing. After attending the party I had a chance to visit with a few of the residents there.
