On Dec. 19 Pearl A. Anderson and I attended the community meal and Santa visit at the Donnelly Hall. Pearl's daughter, Bonnie Fabian from Herman, granddaughter Michelle Gessford of Alexandria and her children came to see Santa. Afterwards they spent some time visiting at Pearl's house.
The Hall looked very festive on Saturday, thanks to all the time, effort and hard work the Threshing Bee royalty and their families. Santa left his reindeer in Herman that day, so the Donnelly Fire Department picked him up and gave him a ride into town in their fire truck. There was a very good group of kids who came and told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Afterwards they had an opportunity for rides with Santa in the fire truck.
On Dec. 20 Jim and Lou Eystad enjoyed the Sunday School program at St. John's and the roast beef dinner afterwards.
