Focus On - Pre-K - Grade Two

The primary classrooms spent time this month learning about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. They learned about the Pilgrim ship, the Mayflower, the houses they lived in, the foods they ate, chores the children were asked to do, games they may have played, and the clothing they wore. We were surprised to find out that the Mayflower's journey was more than 3,000 miles. We thought it was interesting that the Pilgrim boys often wore dresses until they were six or seven. We also studied the Native American tribe, the Wampanoags, and their daily life. We found out that the Wampanoag children played games just like we do. One game they played was called the Pin Game. A ring was attached to a stick. You had to try and flip the ring up and over the stick, or pin. If you would like to learn more about the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe visit the website:

I Am Thankful Writing from a few of our first and second grade students:

Whole School Events/Activities:

CMST students collected food for the Stevens County Food Shelf during the month of November. We would like to thank those who participated in this event. Students collected three hundred and fifty five pounds of food.

Our annual cookie bake will take place next week. If you have not ordered your cookies, please call 795-2217.

If you ordered a wreath, they can be picked up Monday - Friday until 4 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday until 6 p.m.

The Monday night ECFE class is open to all families with children up to age 7. An optional supper is served from 5:30 - 6 p.m. Classes run from 6-7 p.m. and include parent/child activities and parent discussion time.
