Hancock FFAers attend Leadership Conference

Hackensack, MN--FFA Members across the state of Minnesota gathered at Deep Portage Conservation Reserve near Hackensack for a week of fun and leadership training. The 138 FFA leaders attended the annual State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders taking part in leadership sessions and personal growth breakout workshops to enhance their leadership skills. In addition, the members conducted multiple service projects providing Deep Portage with stacking 20 cords of wood, painting a building and benches, pulled and bagged 840 pounds of invasive weeds and spread 2 truckloads of woodchips on the walking paths.

The members from 58 chapters represent more than 8,900 members across the State of Minnesota that are a part of the largest youth organization, with more then 500,000 FFA members reaching from the states of Alaska to Puerto Rico and Maine to Hawaii. FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for prime leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The Minnesota State FFA Officers and State Staff hosted the conference as well as Deep Portage Conservation Reserve Staff.
