Boys hoops team wins at Yellow Medicine
Four Tigers scored in double figures to help Morris Area to a 76-49 win at Yellow Medicine East Friday. The victory improves the Tigers' West Central Conference South record to 5-1.
The Tigers dominated in the first half, taking a 37-21 lead into the break.
The Tigers were 30-of--47 (63 percent) from the field, hitting seven of 10 three-point baskets.
The Tigers were successful on half of their free-throw attempts, hitting nine of 18.
The Sting were 18-of-35 (51 percent) overall with only one three-pointer.
At the free-throw line, the Sting were 12-of-16.
Chris Scott led the way with 17 points. Lincoln Arnold, Jackson Henrich, and Eric Riley chipped in 10 apiece.
Also scoring for the Tigers were Tyler Meichsner with nine, Daniel Tiernan with six, Taylor Nohl with five, Travis Rinkenberger with three, and Corey Nohl with two.
Scott grabbed eight rebounds and Henrich picked up seven.
Both Arnold and Riley dished out four assists.
Scott, Henrich, Meichsner, and Taylor Nohl recorded two steals apiece.
