Are you ready for......a little football? Here are some party dips and other goodies for the big game!

7-Layer dip

1 can (16 oz.) refried beans

1 T. taco seasoning mix

1 C. sour cream

1 C. salsa

1 C. shredded lettuce

1 C. Mexican style shredded cheese

1/2 C. chopped green onions

2 T. sliced pitted ripe olives

Mix beans and taco seasoning mix. Spread onto bottom of 9-inch pie plate. Layer remaining ingredients over bean mixture; cover. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled. Serve with tortilla chips or assorted crackers.

Beer Dip

2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened

1/3 C. beer or NA beer

1 envelope Ranch salad dressing mix

2 C. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, beer and dressing mix until smooth. Stir in cheese. Serve with pretzels or other goodies.

Barbeque Sauce for Cocktail Wieners

1 jar (16 oz.) barbeque sauce

1 jar (10 oz.) grape jelly

dry onion mix

2 T. brown sugar

Mix together and heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Add cocktail wieners and simmer 10 minutes longer. Serve hot.

Sausage Balls

1 lb. ground pork sausage

2 C. biscuit baking mix

1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine sausage, biscuit mix and cheese. Form into walnut size balls and place on baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, until golden brown.

Liver Sausage Ball

1 lb. Braunschweiger

3 oz. package cream cheese

1 tsp. grated onion

1 tsp. worcestershire

1 tsp. mustard

Roll into a ball and chill for 2 hours or make into more than one ball. Roll cream cheese and mustard over the ball; then, roll the ball in grated cheese.
