Babe Ruth Red team improves to 7-1 with two wins

Here are week four Babe Ruth baseball results:

Red 3, Black 1

Dustin Sauter and Eric Riley battled in a well played defensive battle with Red coming away with victory. Dustin gave up four hits, three walks and struck out 11 in getting the complete game win.

Eric also pitched a complete game, giving up five hits and five walks with 9 strikeouts.

Alex Erickson and Dustin Sauter had two hits each for Red. Josh Love led Black with two hits and Blake Swenson had a hit and drove in the Black run.

Black 8, Gray 7

Black jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and then held on for the win. Josh Love pitched the first six innings for Black, giving up seven runs on eight hits and six walks while striking out six. Eric Riley pitched the final inning for the save. Josh Love and Derrick Henrichs led the hitting attack for Black, each going 3-for-3. Derrick drove in three runs and Josh two. Tanner Rohloff had two hits and Eric Riley one for Black. For Gray, Matt Wulf started on the mound. Tyler Hansen went 3-for-3 and Derrick Foss was 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead Gray's offense.

Nate Kleindl had a big three-run home run and Brendon Foss and Ryan Beyer contributed a hit each.

Red 13, Green 7

Red scored 11 runs in the fourth and fifth innings to hold off Green in a six-inning game.

Cory Schroeder pitched the first four innings for the win with Chris Scott closing out the game for the save. Red turned two double plays in the field. Max Torgerson had one hit with three RBI for Red and Justin Seifert had two hits. For Green, Bryant Zarbock pitched a complete game and Cody Hickman led the offense with two hits.

Gray 17, Orange 1

Gray pounded out 18 hits in the win. Derrick Foss went 4-for-4 and Matt Fellows was 3-for-3. Ryan Beyer, Nate Gibson, Jon Jallo, and Matt Wulf all had two hits, and Jeremy Westerman, Drew Schmidgall, and Brendon Foss all had one hit. Derrick Foss, Brendon Foss, and Nate Kleindl pitched for Gray. Luke Schmeissing pitched for Orange. Matt Lembcke, Dylan Stanton-Ring, and Mitch Kill each had a hit for Orange.
