Locals graduate from Minnesota State Moorhead
Local students were among the 875 students who graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead on May 12. Farm Credit Fellows designation earned by NDSU Student
Beth Holland, Donnelly, is among 14 students who recently completed the Farm Credit Fellows Program through North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. This special undergraduate program in agricultural finance was created by the NDSU College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources and AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Fargo. Participating partners in the program also include Farm Credit Services of Mandan, Farm Credit Services of North Dakota and United FCS.
Students named to NDSCS academic list
Several local students are among the 389 students named to North Dakota State College of Science in Wapheton, North Dakota, spring semester 2017 president's honor list. Those students are: Trent Marty, Chokio, electrical technology; Chad Arndt, architectural drafting and estimating technology; Logan Kisgen, land surveying and civil engineering technology, Hancock; Kindra Cannon, Morris, occupational therapy assistant.
Burke participates in St. John's commencement
James Burke, son of Pat and Carol Burke of Donnelly, participated in the 160th annual commencement ceremony at St. John's University on May 14 in the St. John's Abbey and University Church, Collegeville. Burke is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts in physics.
Schneider participates in St. Benedict's commencement
Elizabeth Schneider, daughter of Robert and Lois Schneider of Alberta, participated in the 102nd annual commencement ceremony at the College of St. Benedict on May 13 at the Clemens Field House on the CSB campus, St. Joseph. Schneider is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts in communication with the honor of cum laude.
Locals graduate from Minnesota State community, technical campuses
Cambria Aanerud, Donnelly, AS nursing; Alec Gausman, mechanical drafting and design-AAS and Eden Sauder, AS nursing, of Morris, graduated from a Minnesota State Community and Technical College campus in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead or Wadena during commencement ceremonies in May.
Local students named to dean's list at SDSU
The following local students have been named to the dean's list for academic excellence during the spring 2017 semester at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota . Morris Area High School grads receive scholarships
Two MAHS graduates received scholarships from Dacotah Bank. Ryan Bowman and Denner Dougherty each received $500 towards their education. Bowman is the son of Raymond Bowman and plans to attend Minnesota State University. Dougherty is the son of Kyle and Amy Dougherty and plans to attend South Dakota State University.

Van Batavia named to Southwest Minnesota State honors list
Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall named students who have been honored for achievement during the 2017 spring semester of study. McKenzie Van Batavia, of Morris has been named to the honors list.
