German Conversation Table
The German Conversation table is an informal opportunity to converse in Deutsch. People with all levels of proficiency are welcome! The German Conversation table is held every Monday at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
UMM's Men at Morris student organization invites you to join the international men's march to stop rape, sexual assault, and gender violence on Tuesday, April 16, at 11:30 a.m. at 202 Atlantic Avenue. Come walk down Morris’s main street to raise awareness and funds to help provide services and support to victims and survivors of violence in our area.
Careers in Biology
Rachel Bowers ’03, MPH, RD, LD, will deliver the next Careers in Biology Alumni Speakers Series lecture on Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in the Science Auditorium (Science 2950). Bowers, a dietitian at The Emily Program, graduated from Morris in 2003. The title of her talk is "O-Chem, Molecular, Ecology, Now What? Life after Morris for one biology grad.”
Spanish Conversation Table
Please join us at La Mesa de Conversación en la Universidad de Minnesota, Morris—otherwise known as the Spanish Conversation Table at UMM—on Wednesday, April 17, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe. All are welcome! Students, faculty, staff, and community members have casual conversations in Spanish about a variety of topics. Meet new people and improve your Spanish.
Soup and Substance
On Thursday, April 18, there will be a Soup and Substance discussion at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Moccasin Flower Room. Soup and Substance is a monthly discussion about community issues. Discussions are co-hosted by community and student organizations, with facilitation assistance by Office of Community Engagement staff.
HFA Gallery Opening Reception
Thirteen graduating studio art majors are honored to be sharing their work at the 2013 Senior Art Exhibition in the Humanities Fine Arts (HFA) Gallery. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., with artist introductions beginning at 7:30 pm. This exhibit runs through Commencement on Saturday, May 11.

The Russian Conversation table is an informal opportunity to converse in Russian. People with all levels of proficiency are welcome! It is held every Friday at 4 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe.
CAC Films Presents—Forrest Gump
On Friday, April 19, there will be a showing of Forrest Gump in the Science and Math Auditorium, beginning at 9:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by Campus Activities Council (CAC) Films.
Equality Presents—Paris is Burning
On Friday, April 19, there will be a showing of Paris is Burning in Imholte Hall 109, beginning at 7 p.m.
Undergraduate Research Symposium
Students will present their research, creative, and scholarly work during the 13th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) on Saturday, April 20. Spanning the Morris campus, this event celebrates the diversity and quality of student scholarship in all disciplines.
Events begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Science Atrium and conclude at 4 p.m. in the Humanities Fine Arts Recital Hall. A full schedule is available online at morris.umn.edu/urs.
