Talking it over: Pick more flowers
Did you ever stop to think about the changes you would make if you had your life to live over? It is interesting to consider, and when you get down to it, there are very few changes I would make. Of course it would be nice to be richer, more famous, prettier and less stressed, but then again, that might just lead to other problems.
I think there are other things that are less dramatic that I would change in my life. For example, I would stop and smell the flowers more often and pick them just for their beauty and fragrance. I would relax and take time to enjoy each and every experience. I would take things less seriously and be more serious about enjoying life.
I wouldn’t worry about the small mistakes I made and concentrate more on making good choices, even if they weren’t the most popular. I would be sillier, crazier and laugh more often. I would take more trips and travel lighter. I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers, watch more sunsets and take more chances. I would eat more ice cream and less cabbage. I would have more actual troubles and less imaginary ones.
I am one of those people who never goes anywhere without a plan, a map, and an itinerary. If I could change me, I would just go where the road takes me, stop when I got tired and see the sites that interested me along the way.
I would ride more carnival rides and swing more with my children and grandchildren. I would roll in the grass and swim in the lakes. I wouldn’t worry about how I looked or if I would ache for days after. I would take chances on new experiences and enjoy the outcome.
If I had my life to live over, I’d spend more time at fun places and with people who wanted to have fun too. I’d try to be more in touch with God and those I love. I’d pray aloud more and not care what people think or expect of me. I’d give more of me and enjoy more of others.
If I could do my life over again, I would definitely pick more flowers and I would enjoy each moment in my life.
