Owls win final regular season match
The Owls were able to get into their offense and control the tempo of the match by controlling the net with their strong hitting and blocking. Courtney Greiner had her best match of the season having 16 kills and three blocks. Kendra Schmidgall had 17 kills and Aria Walstad had 33 assists. Ali Reese was again perfect from the serving line going 18/18 with 1 ace serve. This brings the Owls regular season record to 25-1.
Coach Kristi Fehr says the girls have really worked hard all season and have been able to find ways to win even when they have struggled.
The Owls were seeded #1 in the subsection which brings them against the winner of CGB vs. West Central on Thursday night. The Owls will play their first match Friday night at Hancock at 7 p.m.
"We have a very strong subsection this year and as anyone knows, anything can happen during play-offs, so hopefully the girls will show the determination and intensity they have throughout the season and bring that onto the court on Friday night," said Fehr.
