Motorcycle driver lands on roof of Explorer in Alexandria crash
An Osakis motorcycle driver escaped serious injury after his cycle impaled another vehicle east of Alexandria Tuesday night.
Here's what happened, according to the State Patrol:
Nathan R. Evans of Osakis was driving his 2003 Kawasaki on Highway 27 near milepost 84 at about 8:45 p.m. when the cycle struck a 2004 Ford Explorer from behind.
The motorcycle crashed through the rear window of the Explorer and Evans landed on its roof. Both vehicles were traveling west.
Evans, who wasn't wearing a helmet, suffered back injuries and was taken to the Douglas County Hospital where he was listed in good condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the Explorer, Wayne Fridgen of Alexandria, and his passenger and wife, Doris Fridgen, were not injured.
