Marvis Elenore McRoberts passed away June 25, 2014 peacefully at her home with her family by her. Funeral services were held July 3, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church. Marvis was born on October 18, 1924 to Swen and Alvina (Roisum) Swenson, in Arctander Township near Pennock. The family moved to Hancock in 1929. Marvis was confirmed at Our Redeemer's, and graduated from Hancock High School in 1942. She had different jobs while in Hancock; bookkeeper at the elevator, drug store, she worked for her uncle at Coffee John's in Willmar.

Marvis married Gordon McRoberts. They lived in Wisconsin a few years before moving to California in 1956. There she worked at Thrifty Drug Store for 33 years.

Marvis is survived by 6 children and their spouses: Bob, Brock, Brad, Barbara, Beverly and Bonnie, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Sisters: Donna (Sid) Rustad, Jean Hollen, sisters-in-law: Shirley Swenson and LeVone Swenson, many nieces and nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, siblings: Jerroll, Dorothy, Ruby, Lyle, Roger and brother-in-law June McRoberts.
