Lots of events for a busy fall

The calendar is filling up with events so mark your calendar with the ones you want to attend in Hancock.

This week you can attend the fall play at the school titled “After Hours” on Friday night or Saturday afternoon. Then on Saturday night there will be Turkey Bingo, also at the school.

During the week just before Thanksgiving break, the instrumental music department will present the fall concert starting at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.

The next few weeks several Christmas related events will take place. On Monday, Dec. 2 the Hancock Commercial Clulb will host their annual ‘Evening with Santa” at the Community Center. Santa and a couple of his reindeer will arrive and visit with area children from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Watch for more information on this event.

The Hancock First Responders will hold their annual supper on Friday, Dec. 6 at the Community Center. This year the menu will feature grilled brisket and all the trimmings.

On Monday, Dec. 9, the vocal music department at the school will hold their winter concert. The elementary grades will present a program starting at 5:30 p.m. This will be followed by a lasagna supper in the school cafeteria. After the supper, around 7:30 p.m., the junior and senior choirs will present their concert numbers.
