Hancock Spring Community Ed classes

Financial Peace University with Dave Ramsey

We all need a plan for our money. FPU is that plan. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more.

Contact Person: Deb Newhouse. To be held Mondays beginning: March 17 (for 9 weeks) Time: 7 p.m. Location: Hancock Christian Reform Church. Cost $109/family unit. Women’s Open Gym

Women, come and walk the halls or participate in open gym activities! Contact person: Trudy Staples Sundays, through March. Just show up any time between 3-5 p.m. This is free to the public.

Microsoft PowerPoint 101

Learn how to put together a great computer presentation or put together a photo slideshow. This class is for beginners and will show the basics of Microsoft PowerPoint program. You will learn how to set up a PowerPoint, choose different backgrounds, add text and pictures, and even add animations. You will be pleased with how easy it is to put together an official-looking PowerPoint presentation. Sign up for PowerPoint class only or sign up for PowerPoint and a computer USB flash drive. (A “flash drive” is a device that will save your work so you can plug into another computer.) Bring your digital camera w/ a computer cord.

Tues., March 18, Thurs. March 20, Tues., March 25, and Thurs., March 27 at the Hancock School Media Center. Cost is $15 for the class only  or $25 for the class with flash Drive (Please specify on registration form.)

Babysitting Clinic

Instructor: Mackensie Rohloff and Julie Milander. This class offers suggestions in basic babysitting skills including first aid, meal preparation and crafts. For grades: 4 and older. Starts Saturday, April 5 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The cost is $10.



Instructor: Bridget Joos Grades: 3-6

Runs April 1 - 17,  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the High School gym

Couch to 5K

Prepare for the Hancock Fourth of July 5K and get healthy at the same time. Open to all individuals or make it a great family event.

Instructors: Trudy Staples and Bridget Joos. Held on Mondays and Thursdays, beginning May 5. Meet at school parking lot at 6:30 p.m. This event is free.
