Daycare tours, site visits available as part of EMS week May 16-22
May 16-22 is Emergency Medical Services Week. The theme this year is "Anytime, Anywhere, We'll Be There".
As part of Stevens County Ambulance Service's activities to celebrate EMS Week, the service is inviting daycares to tour the service, or encouraging a visit to the daycare by SCAS staff.
The visits generally last about 20-30 minutes and provide kids with an opportunity to see the ambulance, meet the ambulance crew, and learn about calling 911, being safe and what to do in an emergency.
In an effort to visit as many children as possible during the week, the mornings of Monday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 19 have been set aside for the daycare visits. Contact SCAS to arrange other times if needed.
Josh Fischer, Director of Stevens County Ambulance & EMS Training, also said that the service can offer the "How To Save A Life" program. The 30 minute program talks about the importance of CPR and AEDs and is offered free of charge to interested businesses, schools and organizations.
