Cougar women shut out third straight opponent
The University of Minnesota, Morris women's soccer team won a third straight shut out Friday with a 4–0 victory over Northwestern in St. Paul.
The Cougars outshot the Eagles 16–3.
The scoring got started in the 14th minute as Justine Wolf connected on a shot to put UMM up early. It was the first goal of the season for Wolf and her third career goal.
In the 33rd minute Kebra Rogers doubled the lead with her third goal of the season.
Meaghan Delaney scored in the 56th minute of play to make it 3-0 and put the match away for Minnesota Morris. It was Delaney's second goal of the season and went in directly from a corner kick.
The match was officially iced in the 75th minute as Carly Denler scored her fifth goal in six matches.
Morgan Delaney picked up two saves in the win for the Cougars.
