Area Weather: Light snow possible this weekend
I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day Weekend.
We can all be grateful that we have some trees and some rolling hills around here to diminish the winds from blowing as strong as they deal with on a nearly daily basis there. Portions of Southern Minnesota, however, had to deal with some snow and blowing snow on Sunday into Monday itself. If fact, a winter weather advisory was posted for that part of the state. The blowing snow made for tough travel conditions. Expect a pretty quiet weather pattern for much of the week. Spring is only about a month away!
In 1981 the warm weather continued across Minnesota! In fact, a record high of 55 degrees was reported in the Twin Cities. Crocuses were even blooming!
Weather facts: Air mass--Is a large body of air that has similar horizontal temperature and moisture characteristics.
