SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3

FREYA OUR FIGHTER CANCER BENEFIT will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion in Morris. BBQs, chips, dessert will be served for a free-will offering. There will be a silent auction. The benefit will help support travel, living and medical expenses for Freya Pederson and her parents, Brian and Jess.

COMMUNITY CRAFT & BAKE SALE will be held from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at the Farwell Norwegian Lutheran Church. Steven Larson art show will be in the schoolhouse from 1 to 7 with a reception from 5 to 6. A concert held in the church from 7 to 8:30.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4

SPOOK & SKATE will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Lee Community Center in Morris. Skate in your Halloween costume. Enjoy games, crafts and door prizes.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5

STEVENS COUNTY ECI MEETING will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the ECFE Parent Education Room in Pod A at the Morris Area Elementary School. Call Diane Strobel at 320-585-2237 for more information.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7

SCANDINAVIAN HERITAGE DINNER & SILENT AUCTION will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 200 East 5th St., Morris. Menu includes Lutefisk, ham, potatoes, squash and many scandinavian items.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9

MOVIE MATINEE will be held at 2 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Free. Popcorn and drinks provided by the Morris Friends of the Public Library.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11

GATHERINGS FOR WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS will meet for lunch at noon in the basement of the Old No. 1 in Morris. Order lunch off the menu and enjoy an opportunity to visit with old friends and meet new ones who are also experiencing life as a widow/widower. ARMISTICE DAY COMMEMORATIVE CONCERT at 3 p.m. at Morris Area Schools Concert Hall. Admission is free. Program presented by the music department of the University of Minnesota, Morris.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12

A VETERANS' DAY PROGRAM will be held at 2 p.m. at the Morris Elementary Gymnasium. Refreshments will be served from 1 to 1:45 p.m. in the cafeteria. All veterans will be honored. The keynote speaker will be Jeff Howe and the Morris Area choirs and bands will perform. The event is sponsored by Morris Area FFA and Student Council.

A SOCIAL HISTORY OF DEATH, DYING AND BEREAVEMENT will be presented at 7 p.m. by Allan Kellehear, PhD, FAcSS from the University of Bradford in England in the Science 2950 Auditorium on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14

MEATBALL SUPPER will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 108 West 8th St., Morris.

COME GROW WITH US: RUSTIC HOLIDAY DECOR will be presented by Randee Hokanson from 12 to 1 p.m. at the AgCountry Auditorium at West Central Research and Outreach Center, 46352 State Hwy 329, Morris. Admission is free.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15

PARADE OF LIGHTS will begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Morris.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16

HANCOCK FIRST RESPONDER SUPPER will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hancock Community Center. Wurstmachers will be serving pork loin. Proceeds used for continued training and supplies.
